Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Alzado (ranked 873 p4p, 120 weight class) and Johnny Cage (ranked 1229 p4p, 160 weight class). Cage has chosen Walk - Pantera as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Alzado goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Alzado swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cage lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
It looks like Lyle Alzado has been cut.
Cage moves in looking to clinch but Alzado pushes him off.
Cage takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Alzado fails to land with a series of punches.
Alzado throws a series of punches but Cage avoids them all with ease.
Alzado takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Cage feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Alzado sprawling to the canvas! Alzado rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cage finish him?!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cage is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Alzado flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Alzado is out cold! Cage holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Johnny Cage really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Groove Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
