Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

19 - 31 - 1, fighting out of New York, Pascual Perez!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damballah throws a nice looking combination but Perez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Damballah shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Perez eats them both and turns towards Damballah to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Damballah circles away from the clinch attempt.
Perez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Damballah swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Damballah scores with a decent looking hook.
Damballah connects with the punch.
Damballah's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Damballah duly obliges.
It looks like Pascual Perez has been cut.
Damballah circles away from the clinch attempt.
Perez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Damballah scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Perez is rocked!
Perez clinches.
Perez is still on wobbly legs! Can Damballah finish him?
I was talking to Damballah's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A short uppercut from Damballah.
Damballah lands with a short shot to the head.
Damballah unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Perez! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Damballah is unloading with more strikes now! Perez drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). El Misterioso Damballah!
A less than humble El Misterioso Damballah misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
