Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Avery (ranked 24474 p4p, 0 weight class) and Floor Tiler (ranked 5135 p4p, 0 weight class). Floor Tiler will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dick Avery!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Floor Tiler!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avery fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Avery tries to clinch but Tiler is having none of it.
Tiler tries to land a leg kick but Avery saw it coming and moves away.
Tiler lands a nice leg kick that just misses Avery's sensitive parts.
Tiler misses with a kick to the body.
Avery is looking for a counter combo.

Tiler dives in and scores a takedown into Avery's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tiler throws an elbow that misses. Avery uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tiler's guard. Nice move by Avery!

Avery really is a fat lump.

Tiler pulls Avery in close to prevent any damage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tiler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Avery. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Avery is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Tiler wants to sweep here but Avery controlling him for the moment.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Avery wants to control from the top but Tiler keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Let's hope that Tiler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Avery might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Avery is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Avery moves out of range as Tiler throws a body kick.

Avery takes the fight into the clinch.
Avery is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tiler is defending well for now.
Avery tries to throw a body punch but Tiler avoids it by throwing Avery back against the cage.
Avery fails to pull guard.
Tiler wants to stall.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tiler has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Avery uses from the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Avery wants to get back to full guard.
Tiler wants to free his trapped foot but Avery is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Tiler has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tiler connects with a couple of short punches.
Tiler stands up over Avery, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tiler bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

and Avery counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Tiler has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Floor Tiler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Avery tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tiler swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tiler is looking to land body kicks.
Avery tries to counter by clinching up but Tiler breaks away and moves out of range.

Tiler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Avery moves away.
Crunch! Tiler slams his shin into Avery's torso.
Tiler tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Avery is able to avoid easily.

Tiler shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tiler's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Avery has momentary wrist control but Tiler slips an elbow through the middle.
Tiler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Floor Tiler comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Tiler winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
