Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ambrose Forbes (ranked 25056 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Gomes (ranked 5713 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ambrose Forbes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renato Gomes! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomes looks for a takedown but Forbes sprawls well. Forbes swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Gomes closes the distance and clinches. Gomes wants a takedown.
Gomes jumps guard but Forbes stands there with Gomes around his waist. Gomes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ambrose Forbes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renato Gomes. Gomes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Forbes smiles and moves away.
Renato Gomes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Forbes misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Forbes pushes Gomes up against the cage in a clinch. Forbes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Forbes moves into range and clinches up with Gomes. Forbes decides to pull guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Gomes controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Forbes keeping moving, preventing Gomes from controlling successfully. Gomes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Forbes swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gomes advances position into side control! Forbes can't do much from the bottom here. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. More blood and guts and stuff like that, in cinemas everywhere now! A lull in the action here as Gomes stalls from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Forbes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gomes wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Forbes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gomes on the ground. Gomes is trying to get an arm triangle but Forbes is defending well. Gomes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gomes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gomes tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gomes fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Gomes misses with the ground and pound. Gomes has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Forbes is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gomes yanks on the arm and Forbes is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gomes.
