Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Petr Kotrc (ranked 21409 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angus MacIver (ranked 7494 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Angus MacIver enters the cage!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Petr Kotrc! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Angus MacIver! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and James Glass.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Kotrc closes the distance and clinches. MacIver decides to pull guard. Kotrc will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kotrc has gone for a leg lock! MacIver slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kotrc's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Kotrc (0) vs (2) MacIver Kotrc has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but MacIver can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. MacIver wants to pass the guard but Kotrc is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacIver not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kotrc is trying to hold MacIver in close to prevent damage but MacIver has managed to pass into half guard.

Kotrc tries to hold on but MacIver pushes him away. MacIver content just to control the position here. Kotrc tries to lock up and control but MacIver gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. MacIver is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kotrc is surviving well by controlling MacIver's body position as best he can.

Kotrc knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kotrc for a finish. Kotrc trying to control but not successfully. Kotrc is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because MacIver is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. MacIver is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kotrc defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
