Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Gustav Faisst (ranked 3625 p4p, 391 weight class) and Carlo Roma (ranked 3637 p4p, 389 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Roma shoots in but Faisst avoids the takedown attempt easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Roma jumps guard but Faisst turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Faisst jumps guard and drags Roma to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Roma trying to control but Faisst is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Faisst is looking for a triangle here but Roma uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Score +3 for passing guard: Faisst (0) vs (3) Roma We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Faisst is not content to let Roma control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faisst is looking to regain half guard here but Roma keeps moving and retains side control. Roma thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Roma advances to full mount. Score +2 for reaching mount: Faisst (0) vs (5) Roma Faisst is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roma prevents Faisst from getting the reversal. Faisst tries to hold on but Roma pushes him away. Faisst knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roma on the ground. Roma trying to control but he's not successful this time. Faisst is looking to improve his position but Roma isn't that keen on the idea. Roma forces the positional change into back control. Score +3 for taking back: Faisst (0) vs (8) Roma Roma trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Faisst doesn't escape. Faisst wants to control his opponent's hands but Roma gets his hands free.
