Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Swango (ranked 1365 p4p, 161 weight class) and John Steiner (ranked 2482 p4p, 279 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Steiner's choice of entrance music: THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Swango!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Steiner!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steiner looks for a takedown but Swango sprawls well.
Swango lands a left and a right that send Steiner crashing to the mat, dazed. Swango thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like John Steiner has been cut.
Steiner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Swango counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steiner thinking.
Steiner doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Swango counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Steiner off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Swango follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Steiner was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Michael Swango!

A very excited looking Michael Swango made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated John Steiner had this to say: 'You see that win was a fluke! I'll be back to avenge this loss at next year's SACRIFICE!'.
