Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trash Panda (ranked 4969 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Rowdy (ranked 4997 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ron Rowdy! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rowdy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Panda's half guard. Rowdy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Panda sees it coming and defends easily. Panda wants to improve his position but Rowdy is controlling well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Panda manages to get to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Panda pulls Rowdy in close to prevent any damage. Rowdy looking to sit in guard and control but Panda gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rowdy looking for a sweep. Not yet Rowdy, not yet. Rowdy keeping moving, preventing Panda from controlling successfully. Rowdy controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Panda drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rowdy dives on top into guard.

Panda regains full guard. Nicely done. Panda keeping moving, preventing Rowdy from controlling successfully. Panda looking for a guillotine here but Rowdy defends easily.
Panda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Panda is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rowdy drops back looking for a leg! Panda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Panda manages to kick Rowdy off! Rowdy jumps back into Panda's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Panda pulls Rowdy in close to prevent any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rowdy advances position into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rowdy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Panda sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rowdy somewhat. Panda shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rowdy as he jumps to the side. Rowdy looks for a takedown but Panda sprawls well. Trash Panda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Panda is stalling here. Rowdy is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Panda seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rowdy has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. You can see the frustration on Panda's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Panda could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rowdy is looking to take a break and control but Panda is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rowdy tries for a kimura but Panda is defending well. Rowdy goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Panda has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rowdy but great work by Panda. Panda swings around for an armbar but Rowdy sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Panda's guard. Rowdy trying to control the position from guard on top but Panda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rowdy postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowdy drops back, looking for a kneebar! Panda looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Panda looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Panda! Rowdy wants to control but Panda postures up. Panda has hold of Rowdy's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Rowdy seems comfortable defending it but Panda has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Rowdy is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Rowdy is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Panda couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Trash Panda!
