Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blair scores with a three punch combo!
Blair stuffs the takedown attempt from Bader. Bader gets slowly back to his feet.
Blair seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Blair darts in looking for a takedown but Bader gets double underhooks and turns Blair into the cage.

Bader drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bader tries to free his leg and advance position but Blair is retaining full guard.
Blair is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Blair can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bader controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Bader looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blair with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blair is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bader's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bader's back!

Blair is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Bader knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Bader for a finish.
Bader rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Bader wants to control but Blair is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bader works his way to full guard. Good work.
Blair really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Blair postures up in Bader's guard and throws a big left but Bader blocks it.
Blair postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bader looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blair is one step ahead there.

Blair throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Blair throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bader works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Blair throws an elbow that misses. Bader uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Blair's guard. Nice move by Bader!

Bader slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Bader is pushing down on Blair's leg trying to pass to half guard. Blair is fighting to maintain full guard but Bader has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bader's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Blair wants to control but Bader is keeping busy.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bader closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bader is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Bader is taking a breather. Blair says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Blair looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bader works his foot free and advances to mount.
Bader is landing with some decent strikes but Blair is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Blair is in all sorts of trouble here.

Oh Blair is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bader cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Bader! Blair is hurt baaadly! Bader is firing away with more strikes - Blair is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
