The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Ver Huevan scores with a nice right hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Von Ver Huevan, as that shot connected.
Von Ver Huevan's corner calls for a 1-2. Von Ver Huevan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
McCarthy shoots in looking for a takedown. Von Ver Huevan tries to sprawl out of it but McCarthy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Von Ver Huevan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Magnus Von Ver Huevan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Von Ver Huevan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McCarthy's hands.
McCarthy tries a head kick but it misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Von Ver Huevan! But no joy.
Von Ver Huevan thuds a left hand into McCarthy's body.
McCarthy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Von Ver Huevan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McCarthy scrambles back to his feet.

McCarthy tries to move into range but Von Ver Huevan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Von Ver Huevan stuns McCarthy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Von Ver Huevan lands a big uppercut and McCarthy crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but McCarthy looks OK. Von Ver Huevan waves McCarthy back to his feet!
Oh McCarthy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Von Ver Huevan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McCarthy at a distance.
McCarthy is breathing heavily.
Von Ver Huevan throws an uppercut from hell that sends McCarthy clean off his feet! He's out cold! Von Ver Huevan stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
