Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Malachi Bolton (ranked 4626 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glazed Kreme (ranked 3326 p4p, 387 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Malachi Bolton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Glazed Kreme!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolton cracks Kreme with a good jab.
Bolton seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kreme has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kreme there as he acknowledges the shot.
Bolton scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Kreme drives through with a takedown into Bolton's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Bolton trying to keep a closed guard but Kreme is proving a slippery customer.
Bolton pulls Kreme in close to prevent any damage.
Kreme wants to control from the top but Bolton keeps moving.
Kreme trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bolton's guard.
Bolton controls Kreme momentarily but Kreme frees himself.

Kreme is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bolton wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Kreme is looking to work some ground and pound but Bolton has wrist control.
Kreme tries to free his leg and advance position but Bolton is retaining full guard.

Bolton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kreme doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kreme manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kreme wants to control from the top but Bolton keeps moving.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kreme trying to move into half guard but instead Bolton has managed to sweep!


Bolton drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kreme manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bolton has Kreme in his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bolton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Kreme got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bolton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kreme has managed to get both his arms back between Bolton's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bolton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Kreme with a nice head shot there.

Kreme thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bolton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bolton looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bolton with a jab.

Bolton rushes Kreme and presses him up against the cage.
Bolton is pressed up against the cage. Kreme has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bolton down to the mat. Bolton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kreme looks winded!

and Kreme counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bolton!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bolton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kreme wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Malachi Bolton will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Kreme shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bolton as he jumps to the side.
Bolton tries to close the distance and clinch but Kreme swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bolton tests Kreme's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Kreme shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kreme was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bolton struggling a bit here.
Bolton is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Glazed Kreme has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kreme is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bolton knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Sloppy strikes there by Kreme.
Bolton wants to control but Kreme postures up.
Bolton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kreme on the ground.
Bolton is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kreme is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Kreme misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Kreme has hold of Bolton's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bolton tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kreme cranks the arm and Bolton screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bolton, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Glazed Kreme!
