Smith kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Song 2. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mohammed throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Mohammed's coach down at Grind Time Elite (($800)) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mohammed's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Mohammed tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smith was well out of range. Poor timing from Mohammed.
Mohammed looks to score with a jab to the body but Smith is just out of range.
Smith is looking to counter punch.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Smith. Mohammed shrugs it off though.
Mohammed slips a jab and a cross from Smith.
Mohammed doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Mohammed lets loose with a powerful body kick. Smith will feel that in the morning.
Mohammed misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Smith.
Smith takes one on the button.
Smith catches Mohammed with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Mohammed sizes up Smith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Smith throws out a loose jab but Mohammed uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mohammed tries to land a front kick but Smith steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mohammed circles away quickly and effectively.
Mohammed avoids the head kick by Smith.
Smith loads up on a big right hand but Mohammed slips the punch.
Smith tests Mohammed's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Mohammed uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mohammed.
Smith misses with a head kick.
Smith slips a jab from Mohammed.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mohammed lands a nice shot that snaps Smith's head back.
Mohammed throws a lazy uppercut
and Mohammed takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Smith connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mohammed momentarily.

Mohammed is rocked!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mohammed gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Smith points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Mohammed wakes up just in time to hear Smith thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Smith!
A relieved looking John Smith thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
