Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jianabule Ahezhuole (ranked 4581 p4p, 434 weight class) and Abdul Hakim Bafawuse (ranked 6982 p4p, 505 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abdul Hakim Bafawuse!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahezhuole blocks a head kick by Bafawuse.
It looked like Ahezhuole was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Bafawuse misses with a head kick.
Bafawuse lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ahezhuole backs up against the cage.
Ahezhuole shoots in and gets a takedown into Bafawuse's guard.
Bafawuse is looking to stand back up but Ahezhuole counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bafawuse.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bafawuse is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ahezhuole seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bafawuse does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ahezhuole is trying to get an arm triangle but Bafawuse is defending well.

Bafawuse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ahezhuole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bafawuse is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.

and Ahezhuole counters with an inside leg kick.
Nice jab there from Ahezhuole.
Ahezhuole tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bafawuse manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ahezhuole closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bafawuse's guard.
Bafawuse is striking from the bottom but Ahezhuole uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Bafawuse wants to stand back up but Ahezhuole manages to pass into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jianabule Ahezhuole dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ahezhuole is looking to clinch but Bafawuse is avoiding it.
Jianabule Ahezhuole is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ahezhuole avoids the head kick by Bafawuse.
Bafawuse will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bafawuse bucks up and tries to throw Ahezhuole off but instead Ahezhuole has got his back!

Ahezhuole is cranking Bafawuse's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Bafawuse! He's tightened the choke and Bafawuse is tapping out!
