Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shane Mitchell (ranked 4866 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Arroya Ramirez (ranked 6733 p4p, 512 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Mitchell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Arroya Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mitchell but Mitchell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mitchell feinted with a counter takedown.
Mitchell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ramirez is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Mitchell fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mitchell moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromRamirez.

As Mitchell backs off Ramirez throws a huge counter combo but Mitchell manages to avoid it all.

Mitchell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ramirez sprawls well. Ramirez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mitchell gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Mitchell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ramirez walks away with a smile on his face. Mitchell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ramirez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mitchell as he avoids it easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Well Ramirez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
