Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kristoff Martin (ranked 4962 p4p, 487 weight class) and John Fadden (ranked 5072 p4p, 490 weight class). The key to victory for Kristoff Martin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kristoff Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Fadden! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fadden misses the shot to the body. Martin throws a quick counter head kick but Fadden was just out of range. Martin pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Fadden wants to counter the offense by Martin and move into the clinch position. Martin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Fadden just misses with a punch to the body.
Kristoff Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martin lands a head shot. Martin with a nice cross. Martin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Martin throws a sloppy head kick and Fadden counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Fadden swings for the body but Martin moves out of range.
Martin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fadden throws out the jab. Fadden swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jab, jab by Fadden - just one landing. Martin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A little jabbing left from Fadden on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Fadden fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fadden scores with a shot to the body.
Fadden takes a swing at Martin's ribcage but misses. Good exchange - Martin coming out on top. Fadden is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Martin rather than just go for the knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Martin throws a sloppy head kick and Fadden moves out of range easily. Fadden gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Fadden has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Martin after a bit of a struggle. Fadden works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fadden accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Martin working a defensive guard here.
Fadden showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Martin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fadden on the ground. Martin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Martin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fadden stopping the sweep attempt from Martin. Fadden distracts Martin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Fadden sitting in guard here, content to control. Martin is looking for a triangle but Fadden pushes his legs off easily.
Fadden is looking to work some ground and pound but Martin has wrist control. Martin is breathing heavily. Fadden landing some decent shots from guard. Fadden in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fadden stands up over Martin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Fadden pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Martin is keeping the position for now. Fadden content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fadden is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Martin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Martin can't keep his opponent in guard - Fadden advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Fadden trying to pass the guard but Martin defending well. Fadden controlling the action here. Fadden scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Fadden throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fadden thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Well, if Fadden is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Fadden's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Let's hope that Fadden has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Fadden wants to pass to mount but Martin is defending the position. Fadden lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Fadden stalling. It looks like Fadden might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Fadden dominated that round. That's time! Martin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Fadden closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Martin's guard. Martin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fadden keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Martin's head. Fadden engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Fadden throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Martin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fadden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fadden not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fadden looking to pass the guard. Martin is looking to stand up but Fadden isn't so interested in that idea. Fadden loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Not particularly brutal. Fadden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fadden throwing strikes from guard but Martin blocks nicely. Fadden lands a couple of decent looking shots. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fadden controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Fadden is continuing to stall. Martin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fadden not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Fadden throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fadden sitting in guard, not really doing much. Martin looking for a sweep. Not yet Martin, not yet. Fadden stands up over Martin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fadden's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Martin can't keep his opponent in guard - Fadden advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Fadden lands with a punch from half guard. Fadden has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fadden not doing much here.
Fadden takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fadden content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Martin is in trouble now - Fadden has advanced to mount! Fadden controlling from the full mount. Fadden drops a big elbow. That's hurt Martin! More shots from Fadden and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
