Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cody Brinks (ranked 974 p4p, 140 weight class) and Matteo Boretti (ranked 495 p4p, 73 weight class). Boretti has chosen Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Brinks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Matteo Boretti!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brinks tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Boretti is able to avoid easily.
It seemed like Boretti was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Boretti slips under a jab from Brinks.
Brinks misses with a series of wild punches.
Boretti looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Boretti bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Boretti throws a fast counter high kick but Brinks manages to duck under it in time.
Brinks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boretti looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Boretti has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Brinks is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Brinks bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Boretti's head.
Brinks throws a poor cross that misses
and Boretti cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Brinks throws a sloppy body shot
and Boretti counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brinks misses with a hook.
Brinks throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Boretti counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Brinks misses with a left hand
and Boretti counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Brinks lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brinks misses with a low kick as Boretti jumps back.
Brinks comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Brinks throws a leg kick
and Boretti counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Brinks connects with a body shot.
Brinks misses with a leg kick

and Boretti counters with a head kick that drops Brinks to the mat! Brinks scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Brinks is rocked!
Brinks wants to clinch but Boretti slips to the side
and Boretti counters with a big right hand! Oh Brinks is in trouble here! Boretti follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matteo Boretti!
Matteo Boretti was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
