Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Terence Gibson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomas Stibr! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gibson is looking to clinch. Gibson rushes Stibr and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gibson just leaning against Stibr, taking a breather. Gibson is struggling to control the position. Gibson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Stibr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The fight stays on the outside here - Gibson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stibr throws a low kick but Gibson moves out of range easily. Gibson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stibr misses with a series of wild punches.

and Gibson counters with a three punch combo that has Stibr backing up. Stibr nods at Gibson to acknowledge the strikes. We've been informed that Stibr has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Stibr looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. Stibr looks to land a combination but Gibson avoids it well. It looked like Gibson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Stibr misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gibson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Stibr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tomas Stibr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stibr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gibson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gibson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Stibr is trying to break free. Gibson jumps guard but Stibr stands there with Gibson around his waist. Gibson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gibson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stibr backwards. Gibson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Stibr gets caught flat footed, as Gibson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Stibr is wriggling around but Gibson manages to pass to half guard.
Gibson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gibson drops an elbow to the side of Stibr's head. Gibson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gibson lands a nice short elbow. Gibson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Stibr sees it coming and defends easily. Gibson is looking for a kimura but Stibr is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gibson to get the leverage. Gibson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gibson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gibson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Stibr has managed to free his arm - good work. Stibr wants to get back to full guard but Gibson has passed into side control. Stibr is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gibson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Gibson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stibr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Stibr tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gibson working the head with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terence Gibson dominated that round. That's time! Gibson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gibson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stibr tries a head kick but it misses.
Gibson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Stibr tries to circle away but Gibson has him pinned against the cage. Gibson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stibr can do to turn this around? With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gibson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Stibr's brow. Gibson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stibr walks away with a smile on his face. Gibson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Stibr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Gibson controlling the action here for a moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gibson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stibr is breathing heavily. Stibr misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Stibr scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Gibson manages to mount him!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stibr defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Gibson. Gibson working Stibr over with strikes here. Gibson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stibr has left one of his arms exposed and Gibson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Stibr screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
