Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamil Westwood (ranked 7114 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Pierre Dux (ranked 3111 p4p, 341 weight class). Jamil Westwood has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jamil Westwood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Pierre Dux!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dux shoots for a takedown but Westwood saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Dux tries to keep at a distance but Westwood has taken the fight into the clinch.

Dux escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dux throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Westwood throwing a counter right hand but Dux manages to avoid it.
Dux is trying hard to land a takedown here. Westwood sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Westwood or perhaps it was just good defense by Dux, which made it look bad.
Dux throws a sloppy head kick and Westwood moves out of range easily.
Nice takedown defense from Westwood. No joy for Dux on that attempt.

Westwood shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dux sprawls well. Dux wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Westwood gets slowly back to his feet.

Despite the aggression on Dux's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Westwood feints and as Dux raises his hands in defense, Westwood changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Westwood seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dux for as long as he can get away with.

Dux is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Westwood has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Dux takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Westwood controlling the position.
Westwood throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Dux works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Westwood will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dux pushes Westwood off looking to stand but Westwood dives back in and keeps control.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Dux kicks Westwood off and gets back to his feet.
Westwood feints a jab promting Dux to slip. Westwood then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dux slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Dux shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Westwood defends it nicely.

Westwood closes the distance and clinches up with Dux, looking for a takedown. Westwood pushes Dux against the cage but Dux circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Westwood changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dux fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Westwood is trying to maintain a safe position but Dux gets an underhook and turns Westwood into the cage.

Dux is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Dux working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Westwood doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Westwood manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Westwood has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dux is proving hard to escape from.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Westwood gets control of Dux's arms and successfully pulls guard. Westwood will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Westwood is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Westwood really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dux is working an open guard so Westwood takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Westwood darts in looking for a takedown but Dux gets double underhooks and turns Westwood into the cage.

Dux throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Westwood tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dux is in Westwood's guard.

Westwood is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Westwood shoots in looking for a takedown but Dux manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Westwood's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Westwood shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dux pinned against the cage. Dux gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dux shoots in and drives through. Westwood sprawls well.
Westwood looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A slapping body kick lands there for Dux.

It looks like Dux is going to stand back up.

Dux tries to stand but can't do so whilst Westwood controls his leg.
Westwood manages to get to full guard.
Dux has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Westwood is proving hard to escape from.

Westwood misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dux lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Dux throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Westwood's head.

A slapping body kick lands there for Dux.

Dux tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Westwood swivels and escapes.

Westwood has Dux pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dux manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dux tries to score a body lock takedown but Westwood shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Dux escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dux closes the distance and pushes Westwood back into the cage.
Westwood tries to pull guard but Dux holds him up against the cage and eventually Westwood drops back down to his feet.

Westwood has closed the distance and engaged Dux in a clinch.

Jean Pierre Dux comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Westwood has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
