Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan McClain (ranked 291 p4p, 43 weight class) and John Puller (ranked 165 p4p, 25 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dan McClain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Puller! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puller cracks the inside of McClain's front leg. Puller throws a looping overhand right but McClain ducks down to avoid it. Puller lands a slapping body shot.
McClain uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Puller. Puller takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. McClain swings and misses with a shot to the body and Puller counters with a stiff right hand. A thudding body kick lands there by Puller!
Puller scores with a jab. Puller waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McClain. We've been told by McClain's head coaches at Shark Tank MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. John Puller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McClain throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

McClain scores with a nice strike. McClain throws a big shot that misses. Nice defenses there by McClain. A quick step to the side and McClain tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. McClain throws an off balance right hand
and Puller counters with a lovely straight right hand! Puller uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McClain. Puller jabs McClain to the body, keeping him at a distance. Puller pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Puller misses with a hook. McClain avoids the body shot from Puller.
Puller walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Puller feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McClains jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Puller is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! McClain had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Puller swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. McClain tries to clinch up. McClain has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Puller. McClain lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That sent McClain stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. McClain avoids the body shot from Puller.

John Puller decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
