Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Howard Duck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raging Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Howard Duck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raging Bear! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duck shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bear as he avoids it easily. Bear forces Duck back against the cage and clinches. Bear tightens his grip and picks Duck up, before dumping him to the ground. Duck manages to land in guard. Bear tries to free his leg and advance position but Duck is retaining full guard. Duck doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bear prevents Duck from getting back to his feet. Duck will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Duck working a defensive guard here.
Bear controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Duck keeping moving, preventing Bear from controlling successfully. Duck preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Duck has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bear pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Duck is keeping the position for now.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bear fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Duck throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear clinches. Bear manages to pull guard.

Duck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bear swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bear should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bear trying to control the position.
Duck trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bear trying to keep a closed guard but Duck is proving a slippery customer.
Duck wants to stand but Bear is controlling his posture from full guard. Bear wants to sweep here but Duck controlling him for the moment.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Duck shoots and misses and Bear counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Bear. Duck has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bear is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Howard Duck. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bear manages to break the clinch.
Duck tries to bum rush Bear with a series of wild strikes but Bear uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Duck has his takedown stuffed and Bear counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Bear lands a takedown into guard.
Duck wants to sweep but no luck. Duck is breathing heavily. Bear trying to control the position from guard on top but Duck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Duck looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Duck keeping full guard, as Bear tries to pass. Bear is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear won't allow Duck to sweep him here. Bear works a leg free and moves into half guard. Bear seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Bear wants to control but Duck is keeping him busy. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bear not landing any meaningful shots this time. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bear lands a nice short elbow. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Duck moves into full guard.
Duck wants to stand up but Bear is controlling him. Duck keeping moving, preventing Bear from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bear avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bear prevents Duck from getting back to his feet. Duck is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Duck tries to pass to full mount but Bear defends it. It looks like Duck is going to stand back up.
Duck passes to side control. Duck is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bear knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Duck decides to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Raging Bear will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Duck has his takedown stuffed and Bear counters with a shoot takedown. Duck fights it but they end up in guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Duck is on top in guard.
Duck gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Duck swinging wilding here.
Duck is looking to clinch but Bear is avoiding it.
Duck fails to land the takedown. Bear shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bear raining down shots from the mount! Bear pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duck bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Bear is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Duck trying to control the position from guard on top but Bear is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Raging Bear has got the better of the ground game so far. Bear is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bear throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duck accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bear is trying to control the position but Duck postures up. Bear pulls Duck in close to prevent any damage. Duck is looking to stand up but Bear won't let him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bear avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Duck looks to clinch and Bear makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Duck with a lazy takedown attempt and Bear moves into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Howard Duck. That's going to take a lot out of him. Duck is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bear is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Duck to the mat. Duck regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Duck manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bear manages to get himself to full guard.

Bear content to control rather than advance. Bear wants to lay and pray for a moment but Duck keeps working. Duck looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Well, if Bear is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bear tries to pass to full mount but Duck defends it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raging Bear showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Duck takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Duck throws a combination. Bear tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Bear circles away from the clinch attempt so Bear counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Bear won't allow Duck to get back to his feet. Bear scoring with some ground and pound. Bear is looking to work some ground and pound but Duck has wrist control. Bear trying to control but Duck is working from the bottom. Bear loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bear scoring with some ground and pound. Bear is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Duck has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bear is looking to defend but Duck has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bear! Duck pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bear taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Howard Duck!
