0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Llorente Velasco! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasco moves into the clinch successfully.
Gibson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gibson clinches with his opponent.
Gibson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gibson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Velasco circles away quickly and effectively. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Velasco. Velasco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gibson is fending him off so far but Velasco persists. Nope, Gibson circles away and we're back to standing. It looked like Gibson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Nice takedown defense from Gibson. No joy for Velasco on that attempt. Llorente Velasco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gibson tries to close the distance and clinch but Velasco swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Velasco throws a head kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasco shoots in but Gibson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Gibson shoots in looking for a takedown but Velasco manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gibson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gibson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The fight stays on the outside here - Gibson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gibson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gibson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Terence Gibson. Velasco closes the distance and clinches. Gibson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Velasco tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
