Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Correa (ranked 3388 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Partridge (ranked 4386 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcos Correa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Barry Partridge! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Partridge shoots in looking for a takedown. Correa tries to sprawl out of it but Partridge keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Correa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Partridge has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Correa is landing a low percentage of strikes. Partridge shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Correa gets full guard. Partridge is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Correa wants to stand and escape but Partridge is having none of it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Correa is on top in guard.
Partridge preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Correa gets to his feet - Partridge follows without any prompting. Partridge feints and as Correa raises his hands in defense, Partridge changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Partridge takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Correa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Partridge defends well. Correa is looking to stand up but Partridge isn't so interested in that idea. Partridge really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Correa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Partridge postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Partridge throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Correa works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Partridge is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Correa has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Partridge is looking to defend but Correa has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Partridge! Correa pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Partridge taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Marcos Correa! Marcos Correa took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
