Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Manfred Schmidt (ranked 3735 p4p, 365 weight class) and Abraham Alcantara (ranked 3005 p4p, 324 weight class). Schmidt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Riders High. Abraham Alcantara will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcantara looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Alcantara throws a hook but Schmidt avoids it easily.
Schmidt takes a kick to the side of the head.
Schmidt tries to bum rush Alcantara with a series of wild strikes but Alcantara uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Alcantara lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Schmidt at a distance.
Schmidt fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Alcantara fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Schmidt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Schmidt tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Alcantara defends well and Schmidt ends up having to push Alcantara into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Alcantara misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Schmidt goes for a double leg but Alcantara avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Alcantara continues to drive forward.
Schmidt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Good leg kick by Alcantara there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
