Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Nemkov (ranked 16173 p4p, 518 weight class) and Lorenzo Turturro (ranked 2383 p4p, 290 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oleg Nemkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lorenzo Turturro! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nemkov misses with a wild combination.
Turturro takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Turturro comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Nemkov throws a series of strikes that have Turturro backpedaling.
Turturro lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Turturro moves into the clinch. Nemkov avoiding damage as Turturro throws knees to the body.
Turturro swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Turturro misses with a punch on the inside.
Turturro misses with a hook from the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Turturro fails to land. Turturro gets through Nemkov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Turturro using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Turturro tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Nemkov avoids it. Nemkov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turturro throws a body punch but Nemkov moves out of range. Turturro swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Nemkov throws a shot from downtown. Turturro moves away and avoids it. Nemkov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Nemkov looking to sit in guard and control but Turturro gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Turturro being controlled here momentarily. Nemkov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Nemkov has a closed guard, preventing Turturro from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nemkov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Turturro trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nemkov's guard. Turturro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nemkov working for a triangle but Turturro defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turturro tries to stand but Nemkov is controlling from the bottom. I've been told that Turturro has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game. Nemkov is controlling Turturro's posture. Turturro trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nemkov's guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nemkov swinging wildly here.

Turturro avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nemkov misses the shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nemkov ducks under a wild hook from Turturro. Turturro misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nemkov.
Nemkov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Turturro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nemkov sees it coming and avoids it easily. Turturro takes a shot right to the bread basket. Turturro closes the distance and pushes Nemkov back into the cage. Turturro working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Turturro gets through Nemkov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Turturro working aggressively here.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Turturro tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Nemkov avoids it. Turturro throws a punch but it's blocked by Nemkov. Nemkov managing to block the knees to the body from Turturro.

Nemkov wants to stall.
Nemkov is looking to control Turturro's arms but Turturro gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nemkov has his back to the cage. Nemkov can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Nemkov on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nemkov blocking some punches.
Nemkov stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Nemkov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Turturro gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Lorenzo Turturro dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Turturro throws a jab but it's blocked by Nemkov. Nemkov slips under a jab. Turturro connects with a good right hand that stumbles Nemkov. Nemkov circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nemkov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Turturro as he jumps to the side. Nemkov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Turturro.
Nemkov looks to score with a jab to the body but Turturro is just out of range. Nice defenses there by Turturro. Turturro jabs Nemkov right on the nose. Nemkov blinks but takes it well. Turturro takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Turturro lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Nemkov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Turturro. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Turturro works Nemkov's body with a nice hook. Nemkov swinging wildly here.
Nemkov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fight moves into the clinch position. Turturro throws a head punch that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turturro putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Nemkov in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Turturro trying to land knees to the body.

Nemkov is rocked! A short left from Turturro. Oh Nemkov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Turturro lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Turturro using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nemkov has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Turturro lands a big knee to the head and Nemkov goes down! Turturro pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lorenzo Turturro! In his post fight interview, Lorenzo Turturro started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
