1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Bunyon! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murhapuro scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bunyon doesn't seem bothered though. Murhapuro lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Paul Bunyon has been cut. Murhapuro throws a sloppy body shot
and Bunyon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A cross from Bunyon lands. Murhapuro throws a sloppy head kick and Bunyon moves out of range easily. We've been hearing reports that Murhapuro has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Murhapuro looks to throw a body kick and Bunyon counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Murhapuro thinking. The fighters circling - Bunyon throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Murhapuro throws a combination that misses and Bunyon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bunyon avoids a low kick by using good footwork. A countering left hand to the body from Bunyon misses. Murhapuro lands a jab to the nose. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bunyon lands a really nice looking cross but Murhapuro seems unphased.

Bunyon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Murhapuro. Paul Bunyon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Murhapuro tries to bum rush Bunyon with a series of wild strikes but Bunyon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Murhapuro needs to keep his hands up - Bunyon had a free shot at his head there. Bunyon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Murhapuro. Murhapuro obviously looking to wear him down.
Pauke Murhapuro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bunyon misses with an uppercut
and Murhapuro counters with a nice double leg into guard. Murhapuro won't allow Bunyon to get back to his feet. Murhapuro drops back looking for a leg! Bunyon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bunyon manages to kick Murhapuro off! Murhapuro jumps back into Bunyon's guard. Murhapuro tries to free his leg and advance position but Bunyon is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bunyon wants to stand and escape but Murhapuro is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murhapuro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Murhapuro trying to control but Bunyon is working from the bottom. Murhapuro stays in close to Bunyon's body and controls the position. Murhapuro advances to half guard. Bunyon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murhapuro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Murhapuro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bunyon defends it well. This has been an exciting period of action! Murhapuro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bunyon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Murhapuro is working for a kimura but Bunyon is defending it quite comfortably.
Murhapuro has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Bunyon defend it? Murhapuro steps over the head and cranks it - Bunyon is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Murhapuro!
