Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Olivier Louise (ranked 23071 p4p, 417 weight class) and Rafael Mendes (ranked 4489 p4p, 349 weight class). Mendes has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Rafael Mendes has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Olivier Louise's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Louise showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mendes.
Mendes looks winded!
Louise feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mendess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Mendes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Mendes on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Louise misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mendes.
Mendes drops his hands momentarily and Louise takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Mendes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Louise.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Louise throws a body shot but no joy.
Mendes looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Louise catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Mendes stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Mendes walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!
Mendes is rocked!
A shot to the liver by Louise. Beautiful body shot.
Mendes is still on wobbly legs! Can Louise finish him?
Louise ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mendes moves away.
Louise comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Louise scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mendes doesn't seem bothered though.
Louise connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Mendes's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Mendes - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Olivier Louise!
