Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesse Tillman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chong Dong! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dong misses with a double jab.
Dong throws a right and a left that Tillman avoids nicely. Dong throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tillman appears to be looking for a big counter. Dong drops Tillman with a left right combo! Dong follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like Jesse Tillman has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Tillman gets back to half guard. Dong wants to stand up but Tillman has a hold of him and won't allow it. Dong postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Tillman to stand up. Dong throws a right and a left that Tillman avoids nicely. Tillman throws a big counter combination but Dong scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Dong misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dong throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dong misses with a series of wild punches.
Tillman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Dong wants to get back to his feet but Tillman is dominant here and he's now got Dong's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong is trying to get back to his feet but Tillman has full control of the position and if anything, Dong has just worked his way into a worse spot. Tillman has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. A lull in the action here.
Dong is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. Dong falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tillman counters with a lovely shot to the body. Dong looks winded! Dong throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tillman avoids a punch combination nicely.
As Dong looks to move away, Tillman throws a big counter combo but Dong just gets out of the way. Dong looks to land a combination but Tillman avoids it well. Tillman really is a fat lump. Dong throws a series of punches but Tillman avoids them all with ease. Tillman throws a big counter combination but Dong scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Dong looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Tillman feinted there with a counter leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tillman closes the distance and pushes Dong back into the cage. A frustrated look appears on Dong's face as he tries to break the clinch. Tillman jumps guard and drags Dong to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tillman is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Tillman is trying to control the position but Dong postures up. Dong won't allow Tillman to get back to his feet. Tillman pulls Dong in to control the position. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Dong has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tillman is proving hard to escape from. Dong is fighting to break Tillman's control of his arms but Tillman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Dong decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Nice combo by Dong! Oh, that's hurt him - Tillman falls to the canvas and Dong follows him into side control.
Tillman is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tillman is looking to reverse the position. Oh Tillman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dong decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tillman to his feet. Dong connects with a superb combination that knocks Tillman out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Dong before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Tillman!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Chong Dong! Chong Dong got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
