Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Alzado (ranked 889 p4p, 112 weight class) and Earl Lee Grace (ranked 1176 p4p, 151 weight class). Earl Lee Grace has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alzado dives in and grabs Grace's left leg, looking for a takedown. Grace pushes down on Alzado's head and hops out.
Alzado takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

We've been informed that Grace has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Grace sizes up Alzado with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Grace fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alzado manages to avoid it.
Grace finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Grace breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Grace steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Alzado. That one must have hurt.
