Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Hines (ranked 6321 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Suarez (ranked 4836 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Micheal Hines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Suarez!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Suarez moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


It looks like Micheal Hines has been cut.
Suarez fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Suarez is defended easily by Hines.
Hines is looking to counter the offense by Suarez and move into the clinch.

Hines looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Suarez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Suarez pulls Hines in close to prevent any damage.

Suarez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Hines striking off his back but it's not causing Suarez any problems.
Hines is looking to stand up but Suarez isn't so interested in that idea.
Suarez wants to control from the top but Hines keeps moving.

Suarez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Suarez lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Hines gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Suarez.

Suarez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hines has him pressed against the cage.

Suarez pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Suarez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hines swivels and escapes.

Suarez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hines changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Suarez tries to avoid it but Hines manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Suarez to the ground. Suarez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Suarez throws a big counter head kick but Hines avoids it with no problem.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Micheal Hines.
I think Hines has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
