Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hollis Beck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Moy Tay!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beck scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Tay explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Beck avoids the head kick by Tay.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Tay is working an open guard so Beck takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Tay looks winded!
Tay throws a lazy head kick
letting Beck counter with a right hand.

Beck shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tay's guard.
Beck postures up in Tay's guard and throws a big left but Tay blocks it.

Beck thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Beck is working Tay over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Beck controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Beck drops back looking for a leg! Tay is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tay manages to kick Beck off! Beck jumps back into Tay's guard.
Beck trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Beck is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Beck postures up in Tay's guard and throws a big left but Tay blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beck looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tay avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Beck drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tay dives on top into guard.

Beck wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Beck looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Beck is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Beck continues to stall.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Tay wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Beck's closed guard. He's half up but Beck has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Beck pivots and extends the arm, Tay falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Beck! Well done that man!
