Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rei Bourke (ranked 1323 p4p, 160 weight class) and Aleksandr Volkov (ranked 2138 p4p, 246 weight class). Bourke comes into the arena with Champion blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rei Bourke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aleksandr Volkov! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Volkov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bourke moves away. Bourke getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Volkov fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bourke on the side of the head. Bourke lands a left and a right that send Volkov crashing to the mat, dazed. Bourke thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Volkov is rocked!
It looks like Aleksandr Volkov has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bourke misses with a series of wild punches.
Bourke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Volkov.
Bourke lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Volkov is still on wobbly legs! Can Bourke finish him? Volkov slips under a jab. Nice defenses there by Volkov. Bourke misses the jab. Bourke fails to land with a series of punches.
Volkov seems to have recovered his senses. Volkov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Bourke swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Volkov looks like he wants to counter punch here. Bourke misses with an uppercut
enabling Volkov to counter with a crisp jab. Bourke thows a left - swing and a miss! Volkov slips under a jab from Bourke. Volkov getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bourke lands a jab-cross combination. Volkov scores with a three punch combo!
Bourke throws an overhand right that lands on Volkov's shoulder, as Volkov tries to avoid the shot. It seemed like Volkov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Volkov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bourke moves away. Volkov needs to keep his hands up - Bourke had a free shot at his head there. Volkov tries to land a front kick but Bourke steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Volkov connects with a body shot. Bourke throws a right and a left that Volkov avoids nicely. Volkov throws out a leg kick but Bourke moves out of range and Volkov only half commits. Bourke lands with a straight right. Volkov didn't see that one coming. Volkov lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Volkov. Bourke lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Volkov goes down and covers up as Bourke starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rei Bourke! Our winner, Rei Bourke, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
