Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Lucas Ii (ranked 3440 p4p, 371 weight class) and Ross Tyson (ranked 3010 p4p, 336 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Lucas Ii!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ross Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas Ii pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lucas Ii shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tyson is trying to defend but Lucas Ii finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Tyson moves into full guard.
Tyson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lucas Ii knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tyson on the ground.
Lucas Ii wants to stand but Tyson is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tyson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lucas Ii manages to get himself to full guard.


Tyson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Tyson pushes down on Lucas Ii's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lucas Ii is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyson is pressing down on Lucas Ii's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lucas Ii is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tyson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lucas Ii has managed to free his arm - good work.
Lucas Ii is looking to improve his position.

Lucas Ii is in trouble now - Tyson has advanced to mount!

Ross Tyson dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Lucas Ii dives in and scores a takedown into Tyson's guard.
Tyson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tyson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Lucas Ii is looking for a triangle but Tyson pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tyson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lucas Ii has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tyson has managed to get both his arms back between Lucas Ii's legs - danger averted.

Tyson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tyson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Tyson is looking to advance position but Lucas Ii won't allow it.

Tyson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lucas Ii is looking to improve his position.
Tyson tries to pass to full mount but Lucas Ii defends it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tyson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lucas Ii has managed to free his arm - good work.
Tyson is thwarting Lucas Ii's attempts to control the position.
Ross Tyson has got the better of the ground game so far.

Tyson is working for a kimura but Lucas Ii is defending it quite comfortably.

Tyson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lucas Ii defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ross Tyson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Lucas Ii throws a right hand that Tyson ducks under and follows up with a left that Tyson also avoids with ease.

Lucas Ii closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tyson to the mat! Tyson manages to get full guard.

Tyson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lucas Ii's guard.


Tyson has gone for a leg lock! Lucas Ii slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tyson's guard.

Tyson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lucas Ii's guard.

Lucas Ii looking for subs from the bottom but Tyson mounts him!

Tyson wants to finish this one by submission but Lucas Ii is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Tyson.

Tyson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lucas Ii trying to control but Tyson postures up.

Tyson seems to be working for a kimura but Lucas Ii defends the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Tyson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lucas Ii is trying to control but can't.
Nick Lucas Ii has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Tyson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Ross Tyson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Tyson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
