Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Mccormick (ranked 5396 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wase Titi (ranked 6274 p4p, 0 weight class). Wase Titi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Titi. Those never looked like landing.

Titi shoots in for a double leg but Mccormick sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

It looked like Mccormick wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Titi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mccormick swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Titi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Titi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mccormick has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Titi has managed to get both his arms back between Mccormick's legs - danger averted.
Titi passes Mccormick's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Mccormick is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Titi still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Titi has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
