Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Segey Taranin (ranked 1948 p4p, 198 weight class) and Ebyn Dall (ranked 601 p4p, 74 weight class). Dall has chosen Under the Blood as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 4 losses; Segey Taranin! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 4 losses; Ebyn Dall!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Taranin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dall is trying to work for a kimura but Taranin is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dall seems to be looking for submissions.

Taranin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dall's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dall's back!

Dall got a little sloppy there for a moment and Taranin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dall has managed to get both his arms back between Taranin's legs - danger averted.

Dall is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Taranin defends it well.

Taranin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dall wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dall is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Taranin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Taranin shrugs it off.

We've been hearing good reports from Taranin's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Dall moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Taranin has worked his arm free - good work by Taranin!

Dall jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Taranin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Taranin and Dall has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Dall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Taranin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Taranin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Taranin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Taranin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Dall had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Taranin defends it easily.

Taranin looking to sit in guard and control but Dall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dall is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Taranin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Taranin has escaped and now he's on top!

Dall has his foot on Taranin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Taranin works his way back into a safe position though.

Dall has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Taranin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dall.

Dall felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Dall manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Dall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Taranin pulls his head out easily.
Dall is refusing to be controlled, as Taranin sits in half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Dall wants to get back to full guard but Taranin has passed into side control.

You can see the frustration on Dall's face as Taranin controls the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Taranin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Dall wins on points by 23 to 14.
