Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Williams (ranked 864 p4p, 125 weight class) and Just Whymer (ranked 940 p4p, 136 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, David Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Just Whymer!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Whymer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Williams swings around for an armbar but Whymer sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Williams's guard.

Whymer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Williams working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Whymer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Whymer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Williams isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Whymer stacks Williams on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Whymer!

Just Whymer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Whymer shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Williams slips under a jab.

Whymer lands a big head kick that sends Williams tumbling to the mat! Whymer takes a step backwards and waves Williams back to his feet - he wants the finish!
David Williams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Williams on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Williams drives through with a takedown into guard.
Whymer is looking to stand back up but Williams counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Whymer.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Williams tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Williams has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Williams goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Whymer has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Williams but great work by Whymer.

Williams is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

I would just about give that final round to Just Whymer.
I think Whymer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
