Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between King Krule (ranked 5726 p4p, 262 weight class) and Andre Ward (ranked 5017 p4p, 248 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, King Krule! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andre Ward! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Krule misses and Ward counters by clinching up. Krule lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Ward takes an elbow to the forehead. A frustrated look appears on Ward's face as he tries to break the clinch. Krule tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ward avoids it. Ward working hard to break the clinch. Ward is trying to push Krule away but Krule has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Krule utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krule is looking to break free of the clinch but Ward has double underhooks. Krule with an attempt at a knee that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ward wants to break free but Krule has control.

Ward blocks a body shot from Krule. Krule wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Krule is looking to break free of the clinch but Ward has double underhooks. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Ward as Krule tries to tie him up. Ward's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. King Krule is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ward works over Krule's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like King Krule has been cut. Ward clinches. Krule has had enough of the clinch but Ward keeps him there for the moment. Ward avoiding damage as Krule throws knees to the body.
Ward is looking to break free of the clinch but Krule has double underhooks. Krule keeps control of Ward as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ward is stalling here.

Ward has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Krule seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Ward can turn it around. Krule softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ward keeps control of Krule as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Knees to the body from Krule.
Krule pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Krule throws a chopping leg kick but Ward manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A jab from Krule misses. Ward scores with a one two! Krule had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Krule misses with a looping right. Ward is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nice jab there from Ward. Krule avoids the head kick by Ward.
It looked like Krule was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that King Krule will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on King Krule's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Krule moves into range and clinches up with Ward. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Ward avoiding damage as Krule throws knees to the body.
Krule is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Ward wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Krule's face as he tries to break the clinch. Ward escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Krule takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Krule throws a jab when Ward was well out of range. Krule tries to bum rush Ward with a series of wild strikes but Ward uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ward tries to counter with a clinch but Krule shakes him off and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krule displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ward throws out the jab. Ward scores with a jab. Ward throws a series of punches but Krule avoids them all with ease. Ward scores with a decent looking hook. Krule moves out of range as Ward throws a body kick.
It looked like Krule was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. The fighters circle momentarily. Ward darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Krule looks to clinch and Ward counters with a straight right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ward connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Krule is rocked! Ward closes the distance and pushes Krule back into the ropes. Oh Krule is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ward has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ward pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Krule closes the distance looking to clinch and Ward counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Krule has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Andre Ward!
