Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Hayes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vini Sixers! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sixers clinches up with Hayes and pushes him back against the cage. Hayes works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Hayes gets underhooks to prevent Sixers's takedown attempt.
Sixers breaks the clinch.
Hayes fails in his attempt to clinch. Vini Sixers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hayes moves away from the strike by Sixers. Sixers shoots in looking for a takedown. Hayes tries to sprawl out of it but Sixers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hayes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sixers tries for a takedown but Hayes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Stan Hayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vini Sixers. Hayes throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hayes misses with a low kick.
Hayes throws a head kick that misses. Hayes could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hayes lands with a kick to the ribs.
Sixers looks gassed! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sixers tries to keep at a distance but Hayes has taken the fight into the clinch. Sixers misses with a body punch.
Hayes is trying to break the clinch but Sixers has him pressed against the cage. Hayes is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Hayes jumps into guard, dragging Sixers to the mat.
Hayes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayes looking for a sweep. Not yet Hayes, not yet. Hayes is looking to stand up but Sixers isn't so interested in that idea. Hayes wants to sweep here but Sixers controlling him for the moment. Sixers wants to pass the guard but Hayes is keeping the position. Hayes is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Hayes decides to pull guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hayes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hayes sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sixers defending well though. Hayes uses his free foot to push down on Sixers's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sixers. Hayes working for a submission but Sixers is keeping him at bay. Hayes avoids the attempt from Sixers to control. Sixers takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Hayes is landing with some decent strikes but Sixers is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayes looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. BOOM! Hayes connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hayes seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sixers for as long as he can get away with. Hayes raining down shots from the mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hayes controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hayes gets a clinch. Hayes wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sixers changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hayes fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hayes tries to clinch but Sixers moves away and Sixers counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hayes's guard now. Sixers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hayes works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sixers stopping the sweep attempt from Hayes. Hayes seems keen to control Sixers's posture.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Stan Hayes just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Sixers takes the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayes tries to pull guard but Sixers holds him up against the cage and eventually Hayes drops back down to his feet.
Sixers keeps control of Hayes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hayes wants a takedown.

Sixers looking for a takedown. Stan Hayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vini Sixers. Sixers is breathing heavily. Sixers misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Sixers goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hayes prevents it.
Hayes has Sixers pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hayes pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sixers tumbling to the mat - Hayes dives into Sixers's guard. Hayes showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayes stands and throws Sixers's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sixers prevents Hayes from moving into mount. Hayes decides to stand back up. Hayes steps back and let's Sixers get back to his feet. Sixers wants to clinch up but Hayes keeps it at a distance. Hayes rushes Sixers and presses him up against the cage. Hayes wants a takedown but no success here.
Hayes has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sixers is trying to keep an underhook but Hayes manages to get the takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayes wants to take a breather but Sixers is having none of it. Sixers trying to hold on to Hayes's head to control him but Hayes postures up.
Hayes seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Hayes not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Nice strikes from Hayes there. Sixers is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hayes pulls his head out easily. Hayes working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Still in half guard, Hayes seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hayes decides to stand up. Hayes throws a leg kick but Sixers sees it coming and checks it nicely. Hayes looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hayes works over Sixers with some ground and pound from guard. Hayes stands up and waves to Sixers to follow him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hayes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sixers, pushing him back against the cage. Hayes is trying to trip Sixers. He has hold of a leg but Sixers is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hayes persists though and gets the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stan Hayes dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Hayes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hayes blocks a head kick by Sixers.
Sixers throws a quick inside leg kick. Sixers misses with a takedown attempt and Hayes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sixers's guard. Stan Hayes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hayes slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hayes stopping the sweep attempt from Sixers. Sixers has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hayes is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sixers. Hayes advances nicely into full mount. Sixers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayes controlling the pace for now. Hayes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hayes in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Hayes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sixers really wants to buck Hayes off and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sixers can't escape the position.
Hayes landing shots from mount. Sixers wants to control but Hayes is having none of it. Hayes looking to control and managing it successfully. Hayes landing strikes from the mount. Hayes controlling his opponent. Hayes lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayes controlling from the full mount. Hayes has hold of Sixers's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sixers manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Vini Sixers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hayes is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sixers can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hayes controlling the pace for now. Hayes lands a big shot there that rocks Sixers but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hayes won't let Sixers get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Hayes controlling from the full mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Stan Hayes showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hayes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
