Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helge Fossmo (ranked 7658 p4p, 174 weight class) and Justice Times (ranked 7132 p4p, 51 weight class). Fossmo comes to the ring accompanied by Helge Fossmo predikar. Helge Fossmo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 42 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helge Fossmo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justice Times !
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Times misses its intended target.
Times goes for a double leg but Fossmo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Fossmo continues to drive forward.
Times throws a sloppy head kick and Fossmo moves out of range easily.
Fossmo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fossmo fires out a quick counter leg kick but Times just manages to avoid it.
A punch combination from Times misses.
Times tries to close the distance and clinch but Fossmo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And Fossmo counters with a quick kick to the body but Times blocks it.
Times tries to clinch up
and Fossmo counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Times moves in looking to clinch but Fossmo pushes him off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Times dives in and grabs Fossmo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fossmo pushes down on Times 's head and hops out.
It appears Fossmo was looking to counter with a kick there.
Times wants to land a leg kick but Fossmo is out of range.

Times fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fossmo, pushing him back against the ropes.

Fossmo is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Times can't fight it off and eventually Fossmo manages to take the fight to the floor. Times looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fossmo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Fossmo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fossmo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Times is keeping the position for now.

Fossmo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Times 's head.
Fossmo is stalling in the full guard.

Fossmo drops back looking for a leg! Times is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Times manages to kick Fossmo off! Fossmo jumps back into Times 's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Fossmo chips away with some ground and pound.
Fossmo looking to pass the guard.
Fossmo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Times looking for a sweep. Not yet Times , not yet.
Fossmo wants to control from the top but Times keeps moving.
Fossmo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Times is trying to keep Fossmo in close.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Times fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Helge Fossmo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justice Times .

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Times wants to clinch.
Times is looking to clinch.
Times is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fossmo was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Times moves into range and clinches up with Fossmo.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Times tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fossmo just stands there and leans against the ropes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Fossmo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fossmo thinks about countering with a body kick.

Times closes the distance and pushes Fossmo back into the ropes.

Times breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Times misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A low kick from Times misses
and Fossmo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Times throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Times throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fossmo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fossmo wants to control but Times is keeping him busy.
Fossmo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Times is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fossmo pulls his head out easily.

Fossmo scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Times is refusing to be controlled, as Fossmo sits in half guard.

Fossmo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Times with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Times wants to improve his position but Fossmo is controlling well.
Fossmo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Times is not content to let Fossmo control the position.

Fossmo is trying to control. Times wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Times trying to control but Fossmo postures up.
Times is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Fossmo is staying active.

Times tries to roll over but Fossmo keeps him under control.
Times has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fossmo is working away from the top position though.
Fossmo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Helge Fossmo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Times is looking for a sweep. Fossmo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fossmo is looking to take a break and control but Times is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Fossmo seems to be looking for submissions.
Fossmo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Times with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Times tries to kick Fossmo off but Fossmo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Fossmo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fossmo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.


Times is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Times takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fossmo is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

and Fossmo counters with a crisp right that sends Times to the canvas! Fossmo follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

A relieved looking Helge Fossmo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
