Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Flip Fortuin (ranked 23639 p4p, 563 weight class) and Fletch Brandis (ranked 1389 p4p, 182 weight class). Fortuin comes to the cage accompanied by You shook me all night long. Brandis has chosen Lynyrd Skynyrd : The Ballad of Curtis Loew as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Flip Fortuin has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Flip Fortuin seems to be OK! The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Fortuin fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fortuin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fortuin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Fortuin tries to clinch up but Brandis circles away and keeps his distance. Brandis closes the distance and pushes Fortuin back into the cage. Fortuin is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brandis to keep the fight standing. Brandis manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Fortuin trying to control but Brandis is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brandis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fortuin's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Fortuin (0) vs (2) Brandis We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fortuin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Brandis escapes and throws Fortuin's legs to the side, diving into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Fortuin (0) vs (5) Brandis The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fortuin is looking to regain half guard here but Brandis keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brandis has knee on belly and moves into mount. Score +2 for reaching mount: Fortuin (0) vs (7) Brandis Brandis controlling from the full mount. Brandis throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Fortuin has his hands clasped together but Brandis breaks the hold and Fortuin is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Brandis!
