Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Sir (ranked 3161 p4p, 372 weight class) and Miguel Dela Vega (ranked 3936 p4p, 428 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Miguel Dela Vega! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sir pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Dela Vega takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Miguel Dela Vega has been cut. Sir takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Dela Vega feints and as Sir raises his hands in defense, Dela Vega changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Sir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dela Vega doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dela Vega manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sir has an active guard here but Dela Vega has managed to pass into half guard.

Sir is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dela Vega pulls his head out easily. Sir works his way to full guard. Good work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dela Vega wants to pass the guard but Sir is keeping the position. Sir is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sir working for a triangle but Dela Vega defends it easily.

Sir is looking to regain half guard here but Dela Vega keeps moving and retains side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Dela Vega is looking to take a break and control but Sir is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sir is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dela Vega off and has taken his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dela Vega tries to escape but Sir has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Dela Vega has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sir patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Sir seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Sir looking for the choke from the back.

Sir is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dela Vega is defending well though. Sir let's go of the attempt for now. Sir patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Sir is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Dela Vega knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Dela Vega for a finish. Dela Vega is really stuck here.
