Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Goodridge (ranked 6499 p4p, 511 weight class) and Abdulmuslim Malikov (ranked 5536 p4p, 469 weight class). Abdulmuslim Malikov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Goodridge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abdulmuslim Malikov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malikov fails to land the takedown.
Malikov moves out of range of the body kick.
Malikov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Goodridge can pounce on him.
Malikov shoots for a double leg takedown but Goodridge sprawls well. He's pushed Malikov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Goodridge tries to counter with a takedown but Malikov is quick to defend against it.

Malikov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Goodridge's guard.
Malikov is in close to Goodridge's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Goodridge is looking to cinch up a triangle. Malikov throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Goodridge's body to avoid the submission. Goodridge has instead reached around Malikov's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Goodridge arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bob Goodridge!
Bob Goodridge was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
