Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dettman tries to clinch up but Patrick circles away and keeps his distance.
A little feinted left hand from Patrick on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Dettman tries to clinch up.
Patrick appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Patrick avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As Dettman backs away, Patrick returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Patrick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dettman was well out of range. Poor timing from Patrick.
Dettman throws a big counter head kick but Patrick avoids it with no problem.
Dettman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Patrick misses with a hook. Dettman ducked under it nicely.
Dettman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Patrick manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dettman lands a big head kick that sends Patrick to the canvas! Dettman follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thaddeus Dettman!
