Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Darley (ranked 4593 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Tidd (ranked 4881 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Darley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Tidd! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Darley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tidd's half guard. Tidd keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Darley works his way into side control. Tidd manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Tidd won't allow Darley to pass to mount. Darley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tidd has managed to free his arm - good work. Tidd is concentrating on defense, preventing Darley from advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tidd is trying to get back to full guard. Darley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tidd tries to roll over but Darley keeps him under control. Tidd trying to control but Darley postures up.
Darley prevents Tidd from improving his position. Tidd is positioning himself well to prevent Darley advancing to mount. Darley is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Darley wants to free his trapped foot but Tidd is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tidd is controlling Darley's position as best he can from this difficult position. Tidd is trying to get back to full guard. Tidd has his hands clasped together around Darley's back. He's all about the action. Darley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Darley is trying to control. Tidd wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Tidd tries to roll over but Darley keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Darley moves into full mount! Tidd won't be happy about that! Tidd is trying desperately to improve position. Tidd sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Tidd wants to sweep but Darley has passed to side control! Tidd tries to improve position but can't. Tidd gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Tidd tries to get to full guard but Darley has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tidd is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Darley is trying to control the action in half guard but Tidd is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Darley seems to be looking for submissions.
Tidd keeping hold of Darley's head, controlling as best he can. Tidd tries to get to full guard but Darley has control of the leg. Tidd keeping control of the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tidd trying to control but Darley postures up.

Michael Darley dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Darley gets caught flat footed, as Tidd shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Darley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tidd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Darley is tightening it up a little... Tidd has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tidd reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tidd taps out! Nice BJJ there by Darley!
