PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sailosi Tauafao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes to the cage accompanied by I need Scissors!. Tauafao has chosen Warriors as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans throws a head kick that Tauafao semi-blocks.

Evans drives through and clinches with Tauafao against the cage.
Come on Evans - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Evans lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Evans closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tauafao throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tauafao can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Evans takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Evans tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Evans has hold of Tauafao's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tauafao manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Evans has control of Tauafao's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tauafao regains control of the situation pretty easily.
