Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chase Travis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matthew Blue Ice! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Travis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Travis in side control lands a decent elbow. Travis decides to stand back up. Blue Ice shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Travis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Travis uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Travis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Travis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Blue Ice feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Blue Ice prevents Travis from getting back to his feet. Blue Ice passes Travis's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Blue Ice is keen to just control but Travis is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Travis avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Blue Ice. Travis makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Travis has taken the fight to the clinch.
Blue Ice looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Blue Ice wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Travis jumps into guard, dragging Blue Ice to the mat.

Travis wants to get back to his feet but Blue Ice is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Blue Ice missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Blue Ice trying to stand up but can't free himself from Travis's guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Travis is concentrating on defense, preventing Blue Ice from advancing position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matthew Blue Ice showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Blue Ice postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Travis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blue Ice's guard. Travis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Travis is in close to Blue Ice's body, working some short punches and elbows. Blue Ice lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Travis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Blue Ice wants to control from the top but Travis keeps moving. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Travis wants to improve his position but instead Blue Ice has moved into half guard.
Blue Ice not landing any meaningful shots this time. Blue Ice is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Travis is just riding it out for now. Blue Ice eventually gives up the hold. Blue Ice is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Blue Ice!
