Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julian Gniewek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 17 - 2, fighting out of New York, Boyko Kersikov! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gniewek cracks Kersikov with a right hand to the side of the head. Kersikov loads up on a big right hand but Gniewek slips the punch. Kersikov misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kersikov takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Gniewek connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kersikov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've been informed that Kersikov has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kersikov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gniewek works his way to full guard. Good work. Kersikov wants to control from the top but Gniewek keeps moving. Gniewek avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kersikov stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Gniewek has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Kersikov manages to get his head free but now Gniewek has transitioned to an armbar! Kersikov grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Gniewek! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
