Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Mysterio (ranked 5875 p4p, 476 weight class) and Michael Pettis (ranked 6062 p4p, 482 weight class). Pettis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Coastin'. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis tries a head kick but it misses.
Mysterio is looking to counter punch.
Mysterio connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Mysterio on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Pettis. Pettis obviously looking to wear him down.
Mysterio misses with a series of wild punches.
Pettis lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Mysterio clobbers Pettis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Michael Pettis has been cut.
Mysterio looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pettis pushes Mysterio away with a front kick.
Pettis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mysterio swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Pettis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mysterio was well out of range. Poor timing from Pettis.
Mysterio goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mysterio scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Nice body punch from Pettis.
Mysterio connects with a body shot that sends Pettis's belly button to the back.
Pettis moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Pettis throws a front kick that sends Mysterio stumbling back into the cage.

Pettis lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Mysterio throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mysterio fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pettis doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Mysterio thuds a left hand into Pettis's body.
Pettis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nice takedown defense from Pettis. No joy for Mysterio on that attempt.
Mysterio is breathing heavily.
Pettis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mysterio has time to react.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Pettis - that will leave a mark!
Mysterio takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mysterio takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Pettis drops Mysterio with a beautiful combination! Mysterio stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pettis is looking for the KO!
Mysterio is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pettis lands a big head kick that sends Mysterio to the canvas! Pettis follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Michael Pettis tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
