Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedhanov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Magomedhanov looking for a takedown.
Volkov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Magomedhanov to keep the fight standing.
Volkov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Magomedhanov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Magomedhanov moves into range and clinches up with Volkov.
Magomedhanov wants a takedown but no success here.
Volkov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Magomedhanov just stands there and leans against the cage.
Volkov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maksim Volkov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Magomedhanov tries for a takedown but Volkov manages to get underhooks.
Magomedhanov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Magomedhanov closes the distance and pushes Volkov back into the cage.

Magomedhanov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Volkov after a bit of a struggle.
Magomedhanov wants to break free but Volkov has control.
Volkov gets control of Magomedhanov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Volkov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Volkov pushes Magomedhanov off and gets back to his feet.
Magomedhanov misses with a few strikes there.
Volkov is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Magomedhanov.
Volkov shoots in for a takedown but Magomedhanov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
It seemed like Magomedhanov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Magomedhanov darts in and clinches Volkov up against the cage.
Volkov wants a takedown.
Volkov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Magomedhanov after a bit of a struggle.
Magomedhanov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Magomedhanov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Magomedhanov darts in and clinches Volkov up against the cage.
Magomedhanov manages to break the clinch.
Magomedhanov connects with the punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Volkov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Magomedhanov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Magomedhanov throws the left hand but Volkov avoids the punch easily.
Volkov seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Volkov is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Volkov misses with a takedown attempt - Magomedhanov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Magomedhanov rushes Volkov and presses him up against the cage.
Volkov jumps guard but Magomedhanov turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Magomedhanov manages to break the clinch.
Magomedhanov moves into range and clinches up with Volkov.
Magomedhanov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Volkov regains guard immediately.
Magomedhanov wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Volkov's closed guard. He's half up but Volkov has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Volkov pivots and extends the arm, Magomedhanov falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Volkov! Well done that man!
