Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Berry Randolph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Krakers Smudak!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smudak tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Randolph swivels and escapes.
Randolph fails with the takedown

and Smudak counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Randolph is looking to get back to is feet but Smudak passes into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smudak goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Randolph has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Smudak but great work by Randolph.
Smudak is trying to control Randolph's posture but Randolph avoids it.
Smudak is trying to improve his position.
Smudak gets back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Randolph trying to control from Smudak's half guard. Smudak has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Smudak is pulling down on Randolph's head. It's preventing any offense from Randolph, at least for the moment.
Randolph postures up in Smudak's guard and throws a big left but Smudak blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Randolph loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Randolph postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Smudak is trying to keep Randolph in close.
Randolph really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Smudak has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Randolph knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smudak on the ground.
Smudak looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smudak bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Randolph's guard.

Smudak forces his way into half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Randolph looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Smudak pushes past his half guard into mount!
Smudak lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Randolph hang on?

Smudak looking to secure an arm triangle but Randolph defends it well.
Smudak tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Smudak breaks from Randolph's wrist control and lands an elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Smudak moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Randolph has worked his arm free - good work by Randolph!

Smudak is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Randolph has escaped the position, nice work there.
Smudak landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
You can see the frustration on Randolph's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've been informed that Smudak has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Smudak trying to control the position but Randolph is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Krakers Smudak dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Smudak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Smudak postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Smudak works over Randolph with some ground and pound from guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Randolph is rocked!
Smudak has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Smudak loads up on a big left hand. Randolph felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Smudak looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Randolph can't hide his disappointment, as Smudak celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Krakers Smudak!
