PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Jones (ranked 3302 p4p, 370 weight class) and Abed Nadir (ranked 3515 p4p, 389 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Number 1. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Abed Nadir!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nadir scores with a hook to the body. Jones takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Nadir throws a predictable looking body shot
and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nice body punch from Nadir.
Nadir lands with a right hand.
Nadir ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
Nadir lands with a good body shot.
Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Nadir's corner calls for a 1-2. Nadir obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jones throws a solid leg kick but Nadir takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jones.
Nadir avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nadir lands with a good body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice uppercut lands for Nadir. That snapped Jones's head back.

Nadir cracks Jones with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Jones looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Nadir finish him?

Jones is rocked!

It looks like Daniel Jones has been cut.
Abed Nadir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nadir manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nadir cracks a nice hook into Jones's ribs.
Nadir cracks Jones with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Jones falls to his knees and Nadir doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abed Nadir!
A less than humble Abed Nadir misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
